Here is what Book One of Legends and Fairytales almost looked like! The page layout and design was from fairly early on in development. While the basic design idea was sound, it didn’t have the feel that we were looking for. The chapter itself never even made it into the book. It was rewritten and broken down into two totally different chapters in the final version of the book. Those who are familiar with Book One, however, will see quite a few things which found their way into Book One unchanged.
Here is the very first original concept for a Legends and Fairytales Character Sheet. Notice the “Legends” Logo? It predates even the Demo. The draft sheet was put together in just a couple of minutes using Microsoft Publisher. Also, a few little images are “borrowed” from Blizzard. We mean no harm with that and acknowledge Blizzards ownership of the them. The block with the weapons and armour never made it into the final version of the Character Sheet.
